The Coral Springs Museum of Art’s Board of Directors is inviting the public to two artist receptions in September. These events will be free and a wine bar and light hors d-oeuvres will be served.
The first fete, which begins at 6:00 pm next Thursday, September 19, will honor author, reporter, and self-taught Colombian artist, Dario Ortiz. At 6:30 pm, there will be a Celebration 7 Observation. Ortiz’s work is a collection of portraits and photographs of the human body each depicting specific human emotions. He will have an exhibition that starts tomorrow and runs through November 9th at the museum. This event requires an R.S.V.P.
The other reception will be on Thursday, September 26 and this one will be for Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School alumnus and Artist in Residence Ian Witlen. He also will have an exhibition at the museum, which will be in the museum until November 9 as well. The meet-and-greet will start at 6:00 pm, and this reception also requires an R.S.V.P to attend.
Guests who attend galas such as these usually carry Business Cards with them in case they meet potential clients, allowing them to exchange their details.
The Coral Springs Museum of Art is located at 2855A Coral Springs Drive and open to the public from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm daily.
