Coral Springs looks forward to spring festival

For the 15th year, The Walk will be the location of the Coral Springs Festival of the Arts. The two-day event is expected to attract around 40,000 South Floridians.

Over 200 crafters and fine artisans will be professionally juried. Some genres will include painting, sculpture, jewelry, ceramic, and photography. New this year will be the Wallpaper Fashion Exhibit and Flamenco Dancers.

To kick things off, the Festival Literary Workshop at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts, 2855 Coral Springs Drive will be presenting Connie Francis as its 2019 literary guest speaker. Francis will be discussing her new book, ‘Among my Souvenirs - The Real Story’, in which she will talk about her interactions with Judy Garland, Bobby Darrin, Ed Sullivan, and Frank Sinatra. Although this event will be free, registration is required due to limited seating.

The festival space will be shared with Gardenfest Coral Springs. The Gardenfest will be an exhibit of native and exotic plants and various varieties of orchids. Pictures taken of these beauties can be taken to local Stationery printers and be made into Letterheads and personal Stationery.

Festival of the Arts and Gardenfest will be March 16 and 17 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm at the Walk, 2874 N. University Drive. Attendees may park in the new city hall parking lot or the Coral Springs Center for the Arts and use the free trolley service.
