The MLK Jr. Golf Tournament’s 14th annual ‘Golfing for the King’ will take place in mid-March.
The event will be a fundraiser for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Fund which offers scholarships to local high school students who need financial help.
Registration will begin at 7:00 am, during which time golfers can enjoy a continental breakfast. Entrants may wish to use the Stretch Zone and carry out a little practicing at the Driving Range before they participate in the Four Person Scramble. The tournament will kick off with a shotgun start at 8:00 am.
Guests can buy raffle tickets and enjoy beverages as they play the course. There will be contests and challenges along the way. Tournament awards will be presented at the Buffet Awards Luncheon after everyone has played the last hole.
Players will not want to forget their Signature Gift Packs. Packs given out at events such as this usually include Promotional Products, coupons, and discounts from local golf-themed businesses.
Proceeds from the tournament will help more than 15 students this year. Over 275 students from J.P. Taravella High, Stoneman Douglas High, Coral Springs High, and Coral Springs Charter School have benefited from these contributions over the years.
The ‘Golfing for the King’ golf tournament will be Friday, March 8 from 7:00 am until noon at the Country Club of Coral Springs, 10800 West Sample Road, Coral Springs.
