Women to take to the sea in Cape Coral

The Women on Waves - March Course is taking place in Cape Coral, organized by the Boat House of Cape Coral.

The series of classes is designed to empower women interested in boating. The course aims to equip participants with essential skills for navigating open waters.

All classes will be led by Captain Steve, who has a United States Coast Guard certificate and a 50-ton master license. All classes promise hands-on instruction tailored to boost participants' confidence at the helm. The course is also structured to accommodate various skill levels and vessel sizes.

The curriculum will include a range of topics such as vessel terminology, line handling, water rules, and channel marker navigation. Participants will also learn vessel operation and safety protocols, alongside practical skills like knot-tying and throttle control.

The course will span three days, with each session offering opportunities for questions and answers, lunch, snacks, and beverages. The course will wind down with a refresher session on the final day, consolidating key learnings from the previous classes.

The cost to attend the class is $100. Tickets can be bought through the Eventbrite listing. Brochure printing can be great for providing take-home information for attendees of events such as this one.

The training is scheduled for March 25, 27 and 29 at 1516 SE 46th St, Cape Coral.
