Walk for four-legged friends in Cape Coral

Walk, Wiggle, Wag and Run is an event in March being organized to raise funds for the Cape Coral Animal Shelter (CCAS).


As a non-profit organization, CCAS works to raise the money necessary to assist neglected and homeless animals, providing medical care and shelter until adoption to forever homes. Staff and volunteers also offer education and training services for animal cruelty prevention. Poster printing is often important to increasing public knowledge of charity events such as this.

Education for pet owners includes providing information on spay and neuter programs, and offering alternative options to those who may be considering giving up their pet.

The 2025 Walk, Wiggle, Wag & Run is designed to be both an enjoyable walk and a 5K timed run offering gender and age group medals. There will be event shirts for participants as well as other prizes. Dogs are welcome on standard non-retractable leashes.

The event features not only the race, but will also include food trucks, music, and a vendor market, providing for a fun and lively community atmosphere.

Walk, Wiggle, Wag and Run will take place March 22, 2025 outside the animal shelter on SW 2nd Avenue in Cape Coral. The 5K timed run begins at 8 am, while the 1-mile walk starts at 9:30 am, following the race awards. Registration and further information is available on the shelter’s website.
