Local city to host biking event

A community event is to be held in Cape Coral this July.

SWFL Critical Mass is a biking event, where patrons are invited to tackle an 11-mile bike ride alongside other biking enthusiasts. The event takes place at night, and riders can look forward to assistance from the Cape Coral Police Department, who will be present to escort the group along the roadway.

The ride will be at a pace of approximately 8-10 mph, with a scheduled 10-minute break at the halfway marker. This will be at the Cape Coral Yacht Club. After the riding portion of the event ends, guests can look forward to an After Mass party, where everyone can celebrate a successful journey.

Patrons should bring their own bikes outfitted with all the necessary equipment such as headlights and taillights, helmets, and other materials. It is the responsibility of attendees to ensure that their bikes are in good condition for the event. Riders aged 16 years old and under will require a helmet.

The event is free to attend, but requires registration, which is available on the Meetup website. Banner printing can be a useful way to congratulate riders at the finish line at events like this.

It will be on August 26, beginning at the SWFL Military Museum and Library located at 4820 Leonard Drive, Cape Coral, Florida. The meetup starts at 7:00 pm, then riding begins at 7:30 pm.
