Local bookworms invited to support the library

April showers bring more than just May flowers to the Cape Coral area, because this is also the time of year when the Friends of the Cape Coral Library holds its annual fundraiser and book sale.

The first day of the three-day sale is open to members of the Friends of the Cape Coral Library only, but the general public may attend for the other two days.

Books available at the sale are donated by members of the Friends group and cover a range of subjects and genres. Shoppers can expect to see titles from well-known authors, as well as special interest Books on topics such as gardening, the military, and history. Cookbooks, self-help Books, and a number of other titles might also be available. The Friends group can use flyer printing to help spread the word of the sale, both to people visiting the library and throughout the wider community.

Although the first day of the sale is open to members only, people do not have to be members beforehand to participate. Those who are interested in getting first dibs on the titles available can become members at the preview sale. The cost of a membership starts at $10 per year.

Running April 23 – 25, the preview day for the sale starts at 3:00 pm and goes until 5:30 pm. On April 24, the sale is from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm, and the last day’s sale is 9:00 am until 3:00 pm.
