The Cultural Park Theatre in Cape Coral, Florida will present a remake of the hit movie ‘School of Rock’ this September.
The rendition will follow the show’s original plotline where Dewey, a failed guitarist and band member, is enlisted to become a teacher. Through his new role, he Forms a bond with his students through their love of music as a coping mechanism, where they find the opportunity to gain acclaim through a schoolwide rock competition. The story follows this group of misfits, as they transition from tumultuous relationships to a close-knit band of musicians. This live presentation will be a musical, where audiences will enjoy unique arrangements that complement the show’s original story and sound.
School of Rock the Musical is a part of a series of stage performances courtesy of the theater. Alongside Hollywood hits, they also feature Broadway classics such as Grease and Rumors.
Tickets are available at the theater’s box office from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on weekdays. It closes at 3:00 pm on the weekends. The cost for purchase is $20.
