Cape Coral to host Touch-A-Truck festival

This April, the EHL Fragile X Foundation will be holding a Touch-A-Truck festival for children in Cape Coral, Florida.

The Touch-A-Truck festival is an event where children who are interested in vehicles get the chance to interact with the machines up close in a family-friendly environment where they can ask questions and explore. Cars such as the Florida Forestry Swamp Buggy, Cape Coral Rescue Truck, and the Lee County Emergency Medical Ambulance will be available for kids to see. Other children's activities will be featured during the event as well.

The original Touch-A-Truck festival was inspired by a child named Ethan who loved trucks. Ethan is affected by the Fragile X Syndrome, a genetic condition that results in intellectual disability, mental health problems, and developmental delays. All net proceeds that are raised during the event will be given to the EHL Fragile X Foundation for public education, inclusion, and advocacy. There will also be several exhibitors educating children on other safety topics in addition to learning more about the Fragile X Syndrome.

Anyone interested in coming to the Touch-A-Truck festival can visit Lafayette Street from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Admission to the Touch-A-Truck festival is free, but people will need to pay for any food or Promotional Products that vendors bring to sell. Attendees can donate to the EHL Fragile X Foundation while at the event.
