September is when many theaters start their new season, and the Cultural Park Theater in Cape Coral is among those getting its season underway this month.
The theater's first production of the 2016-2017 season is ‘Seussical the Musical’. It usually begins its season with a production aimed a younger audience, and this year is no different. Along with appealing to an all-ages crowd, Seussical also gives younger actors and performers a chance to show off their talent on stage. As Michael Moran, the theater's executive director, told the Cape Coral Daily Breeze, Seussical gives younger performers a chance to "get out there. . .and shine."
Theaters often use brochure printers to provide patrons with details about their upcoming season, and to encourage people to purchase subscriptions or season ticket packages early. The Cultural Park theater is currently selling ticket packages, which provides admission to each of the theater's 10 shows, for $140. Packages are on sale until September 18.
People can currently purchase individual tickets to ‘Seussical’ for $19 for adults, $17 for seniors, $13 for students, and $10 for children under age 12. Individual tickets to the rest of the season's shows go on sale when Seussical opens, which is this Friday, September 9th. It runs until the 18th.
After ‘Seussical’, the next show on the schedule is ‘Broadway Showstoppers Revue’, which runs from September 30 until October 9.
