Cape Coral theater gets ready for upcoming season

For school-aged children and teachers, the end of summer means back-to-school time. For fans of the theater, it means the start of a new season of plays and musicals.

This year, the Cultural Park Theater in Cape Coral will present its 56th season. On the schedule for the season are a mix of plays, musicals, and revues. Ticket packages and subscriptions are currently on sale for the 10-show season, which starts in September and extends into May of 2019.

Michael Moran, the executive director of the theater, told the Cape Coral Daily Breeze:

"We are looking forward to this season because we not only have a great lineup this year, but coming off of last year's record sales, we want to see our theater audience continue to grow."

Community theaters can use flyer printing to spread the news about their seasons, and also to encourage area residents to participate.

Cultural Park Theater holds auditions of all of its shows and the auditions are open to the public. The theater is also looking to work with new designers and directors during its upcoming season and is currently interviewing candidates.

Those who would rather enjoy the theater from a seat in the audience can purchase a season pass for $150, which provides tickets to all 10 productions. A flex-pass of 10 tickets is $155 and provides access to any show in the Broadway series. The theater also has $120 Snowbird Passes for eight shows.
