Cape Coral shows it cares this month

Cyclists and others will have a chance to show that they ‘C.A.R.E’ in Cape Coral.

C.A.R.E.S. Suicide Prevention will be hosting a C.A.R.E.S. for Heroes appreciation event and the Cape Coral Bullyride in a couple of weeks. The goal of the events is to raise awareness about bullying among kids and teens, and to raise awareness about PTSD among first responders, veterans, and active duty military personnel.

According to Thomas MacKenn, a C.A.R.E.S. Prevention board member and the chairperson for the event, the aim of the day is to build community awareness and raise money, as well as to enlist local volunteerism.
