The Lee County Library System will be organizing a virtual educational program for Cape Coral residents in July that teaches viewers about Australian animals.
Amazing Aussies is a broadcast hosted by Roos2U where teens can learn fun information about several animals from the other side of the world. The show will introduce viewers to animals like red kangaroos, emus, and swamp wallabies. Cassidy Jagger will be the host for the presentation. Guests will also learn how to make origami kangaroos out of paper. Educational organizations broadcasting programs such as this can market their shows to others using flyer printing.
Roos2U is a facility in Germantown that takes care of kangaroos and wallabies. The organization offers behind-the-scenes tours and allows visitors to interact with the animals personally. The shelter keeps its kangaroos happy and healthy by maintaining a clean facility and surprising the marsupials with toys and treats. All joeys are hand-raised from early ages to create long-lasting bonds between the caretakers and kangaroos.
The virtual activity will occur on Tuesday, July 20 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. No fees need to be paid to view the event, and attendees are not required to register. The meeting ID and passcode for the broadcast are available on the event page. Teens interested in creating the origami craft can pick up a kit from their local library starting July 17.
