People interested in adopting a greyhound can attend a meet and greet this July in Cape Coral.
The non-profit group Bay Area Greyhound Adoptions (BAGA) will be organizing an event for the community to show off their greyhounds to potential new owners. The organization can help those who want to adopt in processing the applications, while also acting as counselors to families once they bring their new pet home. Greyhounds available for adoption are bathed, groomed, and have all necessary vet work completed.
BAGA is dedicated to providing homes for greyhounds once the dogs retire from racing. The group takes in all greyhounds, while financing surgeries for the animals with injuries that have resulted from past races. Many events are organized by the charitable organization, such as picnics, yappy hours, and their annual Salute to Seniors fundraisers. Promotional Pens can be used by groups like this to pass out at events and create more awareness for their cause.
The greyhound meet and greet will be held on Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The meeting will be held at the Publix Super Market in the Santa Barbara Centre. Those interested in future events from BAGA can check its website for updates. People can also donate online to help support BAGA's mission.
