A culinary class focused on Italian cuisine is to be held in Cape Coral this October.
At the Garden Art Focaccia Bread Baking Class, attendees the basics of creating this contemporary-style bread from scratch. The session will focus on details such as mixing and kneading dough, rising techniques, flavor infusion skills, presentation techniques, best baking practices, and an information session on various herbs, oils, and toppings that can be useful. In addition to the focaccia, participants will also learn to make homemade tomato and basil soup.
Like the lesson in baking focaccia bread, participants will be given a cooking lesson from scratch for the tomato soup. The lesson will begin with tips for getting the perfect ingredients for the soup, and will address seasoning, aroma, slow-cooking techniques, texture-creation, garnishing, and plating. The session will be a guided and hands-on experience. It lasts for two hours and is designed for adults.
