Cape Coral fest to shed light on healthy lifestyle

Cape Coral will be holding its second annual Veg Fest this November to introduce people to local, healthy plant-based foods.

Veg Fest is an event where guests can discover cruelty-free and eco-friendly products while learning more about the science behind plant-based diets. The founder of the festival is Mike Young, a man who also started the non-profit organization aPlantBasedDiet.org. The event hopes to showcase the benefits of living without meat or dairy. Fests such as this can make Posters with Print shops to inform the public about the event.

During the festival, attendees can browse plant-based vendors and attend presentations from names like Jessika K. Blanks, Marcus Watts, and Dr. Ronald Knaus. A five-minute group meditation session will be held at the start and end of the fest on the event’s main stage. Xylo Zohn Smith-Pajares will offer an hour-long workshop that combines elements of yoga and freeform dance. Visitors can also watch cooking demos while at the festival.

The event will be held at the Sun Splash Family Waterpark on Sunday, November 22 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Veg Fest is a free, family-friendly festival, though attendees are asked to register in advance to help the organizers get an accurate headcount. People can volunteer to help set up the event and assist food vendors. Volunteers for the festival will get a complimentary T-shirt.
