Cape Coral drivers shoot hoops to win big

March Madness inspires a number of special promotions across the country, but in Cape Coral, the local Kia dealer put its own unique spin on the month.

Customers who visited the dealership on March 31 had the chance to take a shot at a basketball net from the half court line. Those who made the shot would get their car paid off by the dealership. Eligible customers included people who leased or bought a new Kia from the dealership at some point during March. Companies often use Mailing services to let customers know about the promotions like this one, which was dubbed ‘March Hugeness’.

Two customers, Darren Williams of LaBelle and William Swats of Fort Myers, got the ball into the net and ended up getting the balance on their vehicles paid off.

This is the second year in a row that the dealership has offered the half-court shot competition. Last year, three participants made their shots and had their cars paid off.

The dealership also got people to come out and buy or lease a car during its promotion by giving away $1,000 Checks to customers and by offering six-day, five-night cruises for two on the Brilliance of the Seas, run by Royal Caribbean. The cruise leaves from Tampa on December 12, travels to Mexico and the Grand Caymen Islands, and returns on December 17.
