Cape Coral celebrates nearly four decades of Oktoberfest

The Cape Coral German-American Social Club is set to present its 39th annual Oktoberfest over two full weekends next month.

The event promises to be a celebration of German food, beer, live music and family activities. The social club is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1964 with the purpose of upholding and celebrating German traditions, language and culture. It holds regular social events and activities, the biggest being the yearly Oktoberfest.

Non-stop live bands will perform polka, blues and country music on three stages in front of two dance floors under a giant tent in the Bavarian garden. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of homemade German foods such as schnitzel, sauerkraut, bratwurst, and pretzels. Other foods such as pizza, hamburgers, sandwiches, and ice cream will also be available. Traditional German beers will be flowing from the taps.

Youngsters and those young at heart can enjoy an outdoor carnival area featuring games, rides and other activities. Vendors and exhibitors offering crafts, souvenirs, beer steins, T-Shirts, and more will be set up on the extensive 25-acre property.

For a festival complete experience, VIP one-day tickets are offered that include a dedicated bar, sit-down dinner, a beer stein with up to five refills, an Oktoberfest T-shirt, and a gift bag. Organizations and sponsors that give out goodie Bags at events like this often use Print shops to provide Promotional Products.

This year’s Oktoberfest is October 18,19, 20 and 25, 26, 27 at the social club on Pine Island Road.
