Cape Coral athletic gathering to benefit charity

The Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral and the Fort Meyers Track Club are teaming up to organize a race this July to support two local organizations.

Freedom 5K is an event where participants take part in a challenging, yet fun race while also providing financial support to groups in the community. This year, the festival will be assisting the SW FL Military Museum & Library and the Special Operations Communicators Association. The race will be held at the base of the Cape Coral Bridge.

There will also be a Kids Fun Run for children who are 12 and younger. Every kid who joins the physical activity will get a ribbon and commemorative T-shirt. The first 800 racers to register for the athletic event will also be given a complimentary T-shirt.

A goodie bag will be provided by the Kiwanis Club of Cape Coral, which includes discount coupons and raffle tickets. People who organize charitable occasions like this can use Print shops for marketing the activity to local consumers.

Freedom 5K will be held on Saturday, July 4 from 6:00 am to 10:00 am. The 5K race will officially begin at 7:00 am. Tickets for the event will cost attendees $20, while the children’s racing activity is $10. Packets for the athletic gathering can be picked up at the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral and Priority Business Solutions.
