Cape Coral 4th of July features country band

Cape Coral commemorates July 4th with its Red, White and BOOM street party organized by the community Parks and Recreation Department, which has announced top country music band Parmalee as the headline entertainment for this year.

Parmalee is known for the hits Take My Name, Just the Way, Girl in Mine, and the breakthrough song Carolina. The group includes brothers Scott and Matt Thomas, cousin Barry Knox, and family friend Josh McSwain.

More than 30,000 people are expected to gather to enjoy the entertainment, craft, and food vendors, and to watch late night fireworks light up the sky.

The nation's birthday party is a free event but also offers Boom Zone VIP tickets, which include a catered meal and beverages in a private grassed area best for watching the musical entertainment and fireworks display. Tickets are $40 for adults and $20 for children, while those aged five and under attend the zone for free. Pass holders also receive a swag bag of Promotional Products that sponsors can have created by local Print shops.

Red, White and BOOM is held at the Cape Coral Parkway at the foot of Cape Coral Bridge. Entertainment will be provided from 5:15 pm to 9:25 pm, with fireworks to follow. Parmalee will perform at 8:00 pm. Shuttle buses are provided from downtown parking lots.
