Bargain shoppers in Cape Coral get ready for new store

Thrift store shoppers will soon have a new store to check out in Cape Coral.

Goodwill Industries plans on opening a donation center and store in the Cape Coral Marketplace on August 25. The new store will span 17,632 square feet and is set to replace a smaller Goodwill store, which was located about one mile to the east. It will be next to a Walmart and will have a staff of about a dozen people.

John Nadeau, Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida's vice president of retail operations, told the Cape Coral Daily Breeze:

"[We are] excited to expand our presence in Lee County. This new location will make it even easier for people to shop and donate in the Cape Coral area."

Organizations such as Goodwill can use marketing services to let people know about their latest plans and projects. In the case of the new store, the grand opening is scheduled to begin at 8:45 am on August 25, with a ribbon cutting.

The store's doors will open to shoppers at 9:00 am. People who bring donations, including clothing, accessories, shoes and electronics, will receive a coupon worth $5 off of a purchase of at least $20.

During the grand opening, people can enter a contest for a chance to win a 4K 55-inch Smart Television from Vizio.
