Shopping center continues concert series
Two September and October live music concerts are in the planning stages at Westfield Brandon Shopping Center and Mall, located at 459 Brandon Town Center Mall.
Doors open at 4:00 pm. For the September opening acts that start at 5:45 pm, the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Westfield will present special guests Skylar, Olivia and Matty Bussell. The headliner group Jingo, a Santana tribute, will begin their performance at 6:30 pm.
Food options will be provided by Wickedly Wild Waffles, Butcher Block, and Westfield Medical Response Corps.
The final offering in the concert series will be Rewind to Vinyl a part of Pumpkin Fest coming in mid-October. Headliners will be Kategory 5, a classic rock group that plays pop, R&B, blues and rock hits from the ‘60s to the ‘90s. Rewind to Vinyl will begin Saturday at 2:00 pm.
The venue will offer space to artisans, makers, small businesses, local charities and organizations at each show. Guests at events such as this often amass business cards from those vendors selling items they particularly enjoy.
Although the concerts will be free, suggested donations will be $10 per show and raffle tickets are available. All money will go to the Westfield Kiwanis and Westfield on Weekends. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.
These concerts will not be held at Westfield Town Green, but in the back of the Boys and Girls Club, 28 W Silver Street on September 25 and October 16 respectively.
