Brandon yoga studio announces benefit
Keystone Yoga, a yoga studio, has announced a class in Brandon to benefit First Ladies Farm and Sanctuary, a local animal charity.
Kristen, a staff member at Keystone Yoga, will conduct the class in honor of her beloved pet, George. Cash donations will be accepted before the class begins, and interested attendees are able to sign up for this event now.
Yoga combines specific movements, breathing techniques, and meditation to address overall health and well-being. Originating in India, it positively impacts important health outcomes such as strength, balance, cognitive function, and mental fitness. Some scientific studies indicate yoga may be at least as effective as exercise at improving a number of health outcomes. These include stress relief, reduction in symptoms of depression, and even improvement in immune and vascular function in older adults.
First Ladies Farm and Sanctuary is an animal rescue charity in Riverview that gives animals a second chance. Although it focused initially on cat and kitten rescues, farm residents also came to include geese, ducks, and chickens as well.
This event will be held at the Keystone Yoga studio at 119 West Windhorst Road in Brandon. Sponsors of events such as this one may request brochure printing to promote their services.
The class will be held on Friday, April 25, at 6:30pm. There is no set fee for this event, as the sponsors have requested monetary donations.
