Brandon bar to host 80s rock tribute
Brandon residents that love 1980s rock can hear some of their favorite tunes from the era when a seasoned stage show comes to town.
Raccoons, a Brandon bar and grill, has announced a late September engagement with The Headbang. Their four members perform a high-energy show in era regalia, complete with big hair and leather jackets. Attendees will hear songs from some of their favorite 1980s bands, including Guns N’ Roses, Def Leppard, Van Halen, and the late Ozzy Osbourne.
The Headbang is based in the Tampa Bay area and has long performed in the area. Embracing the hair metal era and fashions, the band’s Facebook page elaborates:
“Let's celebrate the glory days of hard rock and hair metal, the golden era when this type of music ruled MTV and pop culture was dominated by big hair and leather jackets.”
The Headbang’s ‘80s Hard Rock Show will be on Saturday, September 27 at 9:00 PM at Raccoons Bar and Grill. The venue is located at 3240 Lithia Pinecrest Road in Brandon. The host will have a full menu of food offerings on hand for attending patrons. Alcohol will be served, so this event is for those 21 and over.
