Runners get ready for Hot Chocolate Run
Many Brandon runners are donning their running gear and practicing for the upcoming Hot Chocolate Run coming in mid-December.
Preregistration will be $51 for the 5K until November 20 when it will go up to $54; $61 for the 10K until prices go up to $64, and $71 for the 15K until they increase to $74.
Swag includes navy blue or medium blue sweatshirts sporting the Hot Chocolate logo design and specific finisher medals for each distance. Other race merchandise such as running gloves, running belts, T-shirts sporting the Hot Chocolate character graphic design, and magnets are available on the event’s website.
All three distances will begin at 7:00 am. Race times and free high-resolution photos will be emailed to runners right after they cross the finish line.
A post-race party will have music, vendors, and a chocolate lover’s oasis where runners can receive finisher mugs containing dippable treats, fondue, and hot chocolate.
A Hot Chocolate Expo will be at the running venue from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm the day before the race. Here, race participants may pick up their race packets and goodie bags, buy race merchandise, and view race-themed vendors.
The Hot Chocolate Run Series has chosen St. Jude’s Research Hospital as its charity recipient this year. The event will take place December 18 at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S. Franklin Street, Tampa.
