What's Happening in Brandon, FL…

Long-running Tampa event makes a return

The Florida State Fair is returning to the area this February for 16 days. It is the 111th year in which this event has taken place.

The fair features agricultural and livestock exhibits, and there are expected to be hundreds of animals on display. There is also a midway with carnival rides and games, a balloon carousel, recycled yard art, and entertainment.

Some of the acts that are confirmed for this year's fair include The Charlie Daniels Band, The Fifth Dimension, and Beatlemania Life. All of these concerts can be enjoyed free of charge.

There will be many exhibits on display, including a Vietnam War Memorial replica and the 9/11 Traveling Museum. There is also a ‘Seen on Pinterest’ contest for prizes. Of course, plenty of food and drinks will be available for purchase too.

To market upcoming events like these in nearby communities such as Brandon, stationery printers are often asked to provide advertising materials like posters and flyers.

The Florida State Fair will be held at the Florida State Fairgrounds from February 5 to 16. Advanced admission is $9 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $5 for children from 6 to 11 years of age. Gate admission costs $11 for adults on weekdays and $13 on weekends, $9 for seniors, and $6 for children during the week and $7 on the weekend. Unlimited ride armbands cost $30 each in advance or $35 at the gate.
