Local golfers enter inaugural charity golf tournament

Golfers in and around Brandon can play while helping the Workforce Evolved Scholarship Drive. The organization’s first-ever Charity Golf Tournament will take place early in August.

Registration will be $95 per individual and comes with golf cart privileges, green fees, and players packs. Lunch only tickets are $15.

Awards will go to Tournament Bracket winners, and winners of the Closest to the Cup, Hole-in-One, and Longest Drive competitions.

Registration will open at 7:15 am. A Kickoff meeting will be at 8:00 am and the shotgun start will begin at 8:30 am. A lunch buffet will begin at 1:00 pm with the awards ceremony at 2:00 pm.

Five sponsorship levels ranging from the $250 Sponsor a Hole to the $10,000 Platinum Sponsor are available. The sponsoring company name and logo design will be added to various places such as hole tee signage, website, event handouts, and tournament promotional materials. Many levels also offer the option for the business to donate promotional products, business cards, and the like to the player packages.

Workforce Evolved Scholarship Fund provides over 200 scholarships for those not attending college but needing skills to enter the alternative energy and telecom workforce.

This first-ever Workforce Evolved Scholarship Drive Golf Tournament will take place at the Diamond Hill Golf Club, 12115 Sydney Road, Dover on Saturday, August 7 from 7:30 am until 3:00 pm.
