Brandon enjoys make-and-takes

Many here in Brandon may wish to attend workshops and make-and-takes during February.

First up, Rockler Woodworking and Hardware will be holding a Charcuterie Board Make & Take. Guests will be learning routing, sawing, sanding, and finishing in this four-hour session. Equipment such as dust respirators, hearing protection, face shields, and safety glasses will be provided. The cost for the session will be $200.

The class will be from 10:00 am to noon on Saturday, February 1 at 169 Brandon Town Center Drive.

The following weekend, Gemma Floral and Wine will hold a Galentine Floral Workshop for best female friends. Instructors will be giving step-by-step instructions for creating beautiful flower arrangements and all materials will be included with admission. Guests will be sipping wine and enjoying snacks as they create their masterpieces.

The workshop will take place on Saturday, February 8 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Gemma Floral and Wine, 210 South Kings Avenue Ste N. Tickets will be $75.

Immediately after, Creative Junk Therapy will have a Crafternoon session where guests will create reimagined, reused, and upcycled projects made out of provided materials. Guests are invited to bring friends who are seven years old or above, along with drinks and snacks. Admission will be $15.

Crafternoons will take place from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, February 9 and again on Sunday, February 23 at Creative Junk Therapy, 772 W. Lumsden Road.

Those that attend make-and-take sessions often take photos of their finished work to local print shops to be included in family newsletters.
