What's Happening in Brandon, FL…

Holiday Revue set to get started

Santa’s Holiday Revue will be featured in Brandon soon. It will offer people of all ages a family-friendly holiday show that people of all faiths can enjoy.

The revue will be held for the 15th year in a row and is a musical show that will feature music, dance, and stories about people all around the world. It will be performed by members of State Productions.

The performance is being put on by the Center Place Fine Arts and Civic Association. Its focus will be on celebrating diversity, which means there will be segments dedicated to Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, and many other cultural celebrations, traditions, and customs. The show will be presented in an uplifting way meant to highlight the joy people experience in expressing their culture.

Another feature of the show will be gestures from the performers encouraging the audience to participate during certain sections, from singing, to clapping, to repeating phrases. The tempo will be fast-paced to prevent the little ones from growing impatient. Those who plan to attend my want to bring their best camera to capture images of their little ones interacting with the show and with Santa Claus, for later use in making holiday cards.

The revue will be held tomorrow, December 11, at Center Place, 619 Vonderburg Drive, Brandon (next to the library), running from 10:15 am until 11:45 am. Tickets will be $6 for members and $7 for everyone else.
