What's Happening in Brandon, FL…

Fun at rodeo and festival

Bartow Ford will be bringing the Tampa Bay Rodeo and Family Festival to the Brandon area in mid-July.

The two-day event will have a full rodeo featuring bronco busting, bull riding, calf roping, team roping, and barrel racing. The festival will feature free family-friendly yard games, food, Later Gator monster truck demonstrations, live music, and a baby goat playground. Attendees may try their luck at ax throwing, riding a mechanical bull, and gliding down the giant 45' Super Slide.

A new country band Crossfire Creek will take to the stage from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Saturday night.

Rodeo producers often have pictures taken of the bronc and bull riding events. These photos then go to print shops to be added to promotional brochure printing and other advertising.

Early bird tickets are $35 for adults and $20 for children ages four to twelve. These prices will go up after July 5th. General parking will be free but premium parking will be $20 on Friday and $25 on Saturday.

The fun begins at 5:00 pm with the rodeo beginning at 8:00 pm.

The rodeo and festival will take place rain or shine, Friday, July 19th and Saturday, July 20th at the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds, 215 Sidney Washer Road, at the intersection of Sydney Washer Road and State Road 60 just east of Brandon in Dover.
