Brandon takes aim for charity

Take Aim for Pediatric Cancer, the 9th Annual Lawrence A. Martucci Benefit and Pop-a- Nerf Tournament, will take place in late October. The event will be a family-friendly daytime Pop-a-Nerf Tournament.

Early bird tickets are $35 and will include one admission to the tournament, entertainment, snacks, lunch catered by Station House BBQ, and deserts. Teams with six or more members can get team tickets for $200. Children under five years old can get in free but cannot be in the tournament.

Attendees can name their teams, raise funds, and come in costumes. All equipment will be provided.

An online auction will have donated items up for bid on the event’s website.

Nominations for this year’s Lawrence A. Martucci Hero Award are still being taken and the award winner will be announced during the event. This award goes to a pediatric nurse or doctor in the Tampa Bay area that has impacted their workplace and in their field. This will be the second year for the award, and the winner will be selected by the awards committee.

Sponsorships for the Take Aim event are available for $500 Rebel, $1000 Blaster, and $5000 Demolisher levels. Each sponsor needs to submit its logo design before the event banner printing can be done.

Take Aim for Pediatric Cancer will be Saturday, October 23rd from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Rotary’s Camp Florida, 1915 Camp Florida Road.
