Brandon readies for a wild weekend

Memorial Day Weekend has always been a favorite time for Brandon revelers. This year will be no different as the Sunset Music Festival, will be in the area once again.

This two-day dance music event draws tens of thousands every year. Guests will be getting their banner printing done soon, making totems and creating flags.

Three stages will showcase electronic artists and international DJs such as Rezz, Illenium, Marshmello, and Excision. In addition to these, the first night will also feature 38 artists and bands including Zomby, Wax Motif, Virtual Riot Squnto, and Slander. The second day will have 13 artists including Christian Alexander and Hex Cougar.

Multiple dance areas will be designated throughout the venue. Free water stations will be available, and concession stands and strolling vendors will have food, sports drinks, fruit juices, and water for purchase.

The festival will also have merchandise such as T-shirts, visors and can cozies sporting the event’s graphic design for sale. Festival wristbands will be the festival’s admission tickets and will be mailed to registrants.

This year’s Sunset Music Festival will be in full swing at Raymond James Stadium’s N Lot, 4201 N Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa from 3:00 pm until midnight on Saturday and Sunday, May 26 and 27. The event is for ages 18 and over.
