Brandon music lovers to regale at nearby festival
It will soon be time again to rev up for the annual Gasparilla Music Festival. This will be a two-day musical extravaganza that showcases local and nationally acclaimed music headliners.
More than 50 bands will be participating on five stages. The event will be kid friendly, especially early in the day. It will promote art education while benefiting local businesses and organizations.
Headliners for the first night will by Erykah Badu, Savoy MS Mr, the Getby, and Fayroy. The second night’s main bands will be Stephen Ragga Marley, Charles Bradley and His Extraordinaires, Carlos Varela, and Box Car Hollow.
Children will get their own Kids’ Fest during the mornings on their own designated stages. Some acts during the first morning will be DHMS Pipe Band, Mr. Tommy, DJ Kitty, and the Patel Jazz Quartet. The second morning’s kiddie entertainment for the will be Seminole Indoor Percussion ensemble, Little Kids Rock Band, Small Fish, and Andrew and Polly.
An after party will feature DJlesage and the New Breed Brass Band. Everyone will want to collect promotional products of their favorite bands and bring cameras to get those pictures for possible later poster printing.
