Brandon kids and parents head over to Halloween activities
Brandon youngsters will want to don their Halloween costumes and head on over to the 6th Annual Little Monster Pumpkin Patch & Promenade. Parents will want to stay for the Big Monster’s Bed Race.
Over 1,500 free pumpkins will be waiting for kids to decorate, and artists will be on hand to help children get their faces painted. Kids will receive trick-or-treat bags and can then go from business to business in the downtown area for treats. Costumes are encouraged.
Following the kids’ part of the day, 7th Avenue will be cleared for the 6th Annual Big Monster’s Bed Race. Local businesses, bars, organizations, and city officials will be decorating themselves and their racing beds to be a part of the drag race. The beds will be “flying” down the avenue vying for the coveted trophy and bragging rights. Along with prizes for fastest time, there will also be a Peoples’ Choice Favorite Bed award.
Spectators will be dressing to impress and displaying banners of encouragement for their favorite entries.
