What's Happening in Brandon, FL…

Brandon gives to charity and gets crawfish

It is time once again for the Annual FishHawk Riverview Rotary Crawfish Festival, sponsored by Christopher Ligori and Associates. This will be the eighth year for the event, which is free to attend, although guests will want to have money to spend to enjoy the seafood.

Along with the two to three pound of crawfish dinners for sale, there will be sausage and chicken gumbo, jambalaya, hamburgers, and hot dogs. Guests are encouraged to pre-order their meal tickets. Individual dinners will run $20 each and include corn-on-the-cob and two potatoes, while family packs run at $50 and include two crawfish dinners, two hot dogs or two hamburgers (or a combination of both), and drinks. Dessert trucks will also be on site selling treats.

Kids who bring nonperishable food stuffs for ECHO, a local emergency care help organization, will receive free hot dogs.

Promotional products will also be available online. The T-shirts sporting the graphic design of Crawley Crawford cost $15, while ladies’ Peace, Love, Crawfish tank tops are going for $20 each. All online purchases, including meal tickets, must be picked up at the event, and all proceeds go to local charities.

The 8th Annual FishHawk Riverview Rotary Crawfish Festival will be April 14 from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm at Winthrop Town Center, 11252 Winthrop Main St., Riverview. Tickets and shirts are available at the website.
