Brandon gets into holiday spirit with Disco Ball
Everyone in Brandon may wish to pause in signing their holiday cards and buying gifts to attend the 2017 Brandon Holiday Charity Ball.
This will be a celebration of the art of dance and an event to further the Hillsborough County community’s holiday spirit. It will be the 6th year for the event, which will be presented by Savage Consulting and 2-Way Dance.
Guests are invited to don their semi-formal or formal disco wear and come prepared to dance the night away to tunes such as Alicia Bridges’s ‘I Love the Nightlife’, ‘Funkytown’ by Lipps Inc., Gloria Gaynor’s ‘Never Can Say Goodbye’ and the BeeGees’ ‘Stayin’ Alive’. The evening will be replete with dinner, a silent auction, professional shows, an open bar, and plenty of dancing.
Entertainment for the evening will be the 2-Way Dance award winning dancers. Local individuals and businesses are donating baskets, gift cards, and certificates for the auction.
Proceeds from the event will go to benefit Toys for Tots. This year’s ball organizers are hoping this gala will bring in more than the $5,000 that was donated last year. Guests are also asked to bring new unwrapped toys that will be donated to local children in need.
The Disco Holiday Charity Ball will be held Thursday, December 14 at the Regent, 6437 Watson Road in Riverview starting at 6:30 pm, and will wind down around 10:30 pm.
