Brandon celebrates fall at festivals
Brandon has a couple of festivals lined up for November.
Presented by the Brandon ’86 Rotary Club, Brandon’s Annual Seafood Festival will begin the month on Saturday, November 2 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. There will be a pie-eating contest, games, and a bouncy house.
All activities, drinks and seafood are included in the $30 admission. Kids under 12 can get in free when they are accompanied by an adult and donate one canned good. A 50/50 raffle and paddling boarding will be among the activities. Proceeds from the event will go to international and local charities.
Local businesses like to sponsor events such as this so they can get their logo design into the event’s advertising media and on any signage at the venue such as banner printing.
Here in town, the 50th Annual Novemberfest will be in full swing from November 21 through 24 at 705 E. Brandon Blvd. The rain-or-shine event will have free parking and free admission, games, food, and rides. The Center Stage will have live entertainment including the Soul Circus Cowboys on Friday starting at 8:30 pm, and Classix starting at 8:30 pm on Saturday.
Thursday’s hours will be 4:00 pm until 11:00 pm, Friday’s will be 4:00 pm until midnight, and on Sunday the event will open at noon and wind down around 10:00 pm.
