Black Heritage Month celebrated in Brandon area
February is Black Heritage Month and ReDefiners World Languages is celebrating with the 2021 Black Heritage Month Expo. Over 2,000 people are expected to attend.
This free family-friendly cultural event will feature African dancers and drummers, other music groups, choirs, a live fashion show, and spoken word. Guests will be able to trace their family linage and shop from local vendors.
Many local organizations may be getting their brochure printing updated to distribute information about community resources they have available. Guests can also stop by their tables to ask questions.
Vendors will also be onsite for attendees to purchase items, browse and collect business cards from those they wish to contact at a later date. Swag bags will no doubt include flyers and promotional products offered by participating vendors.
Small businesses from Brandon can buy table space for $60 and local vendors can purchase space for $120 if they furnish their own tables. Non-profits can participate for $120 and commercial vendors may enter for $150.
Add-ons will be available for $25. These include color advertisements in the event program and logo printing in the event’s website for nine months, and a mention in the email and the event’s e-newsletter. Black and white ads can be placed in the event program for $20.
The 2021 Black Heritage Expo will take place Saturday, February 27 from noon until 5:00 pm at Westshore Plaza Mall, 250 Westshore Plaza, Tampa.
