What's Happening in Brandon, FL…

Annual festival heats up the waterfront

The Gasparilla Music Festival is taking place over two days this March. The popular event is attracting more visitors year on year, and will be hoping to beat last year’s figure of around 16,000.

This year’s event is set to feature musical performances performed on several stages, food from various local restaurants and caterers, and a Kids’ Fest. Among those slated to perform at this year's festival are Trampled by Turtles, Gogol Bordello, Mutemath, and Modest Mouse.

VIP tickets are available, and include access to special tents, a premium viewing area and free beverages throughout the day. Sponsorships are also available and organizers are still looking for volunteers.

The mission of the Gasparilla Music Festival is to support the local arts and food providers and provide musical education to the community.

Like most music festivals, organizers will likely invest in poster printing services. Posters can then be distributed all over the area, including to nearby communities like Brandon.

The Gasparilla Music Festival is being held at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park from March 7 to 8 beginning at 10:00 AM each day. General admission tickets are $60 for both days, $40 for Saturday only, and $30 for Sunday only. VIP tickets cost $150 for two days, $100 for Saturday, and $75 for Sunday.
