Annual convention brings science fiction fans together
The Tampa Bay Comic Con is taking place for three days beginning this month.
This is a convention aimed at fans of not only comics, but also science fiction films and television series. This year's event is set to feature several stars, including Linda Hamilton, Carrie Fisher, Lea Thompson, and Matt Ryan. Attendees will have the opportunity to get autographs and pose for photographs with the celebrities, as well as attend a number of panel discussions with them. There will also be panels on such topics as That Game Show, Doctor Who, and cartoons.
There will be a Game Cave that will offer board and table top games, as well as The Grid, which will offer electronic games. The League of Little Legends Kids’ Zone will have crafts and fun activities. Other items of interest will be an improv show, nerdy speed dating, a scavenger hunt, and a cosplay tournament. Meanwhile, the dealers’ room will no doubt be of interest to collectors.
