A youth camp for young performers will take place in Bradenton this June.
The event aims to provide a place for children 7-17 years to improve performance skills, which include acting, singing and dancing. Children will learn how to take part in auditions, perform for live audiences, and have rehearsals between these. These sessions are directed by professional teaching artists and musical directors.
The program's goal is to strengthen children's confidence through performance, as well as improving their self-esteem while helping them to recognize their potential for success. The program also provides a complimentary show for at-risk youth as a part of the organizer's For Kids by Kids initiative.
The event will also feature a live remake of the hit Broadway show Disney's Aladdin Jr. The original premiered in 1992, with added characters and an enhanced storyline. This version will offer the same features, along with a fully immersive experience for the audience.
The cost for tickets will be $500 per participant for the day camp. All attendees must register for the event. Print shops can provide props for events such as these, along with advertising materials.
The camp will be held on June 20 at the Manatee Performing Arts Center. This is located at 502 3rd Ave West, Bradenton, Florida 34205. It starts at 8:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm.
