Commendation will be given to achievements in historical preservation at a special ceremony in Bradenton next month.
The Manatee County Preservation and Heritage awards presentation will be held at the Manatee Village Historical Park here in Bradenton.
The heritage commission will recognize historical efforts in several categories. Awards will be presented to both a high school and a post-secondary student for their achievements in preservation. In addition, a business owner, a citizen, a published author and a builder/developer will be officially honored for keeping the importance of preserving community history at the forefront in their life and work.
Public nominations for the prestigious awards will be accepted online until September 25, 2026.
The Manatee Village Historical Park is a museum created in 1976 to safeguard and showcase Manatee’s formative era between 1840 and 1918 through curated displays and public education.
In addition to exhibits, the museum, which is located on four acres of treed property, is also home to a collection of original and replica buildings and Manatee’s oldest formal cemetery.
Cultural spaces such as museums often require printing services for the creation of their written historical materials that complement their displays.
