Special pet adoption takes place in Bradenton

‘Christmas in July’ will be held each Friday this month by the Manatee County Animal Services.

The shelter, located in Palmetto, close enough to Bradenton that people in the city will want to take advantage of this opportunity, is reducing fees for adopting pets by $10. Licensing fees will still cost residents $15 per pet.

The standard fees for puppies and dogs is $80 and for kittens and cats is $40. The shelter is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm during the week and closes at 4:00 pm on Saturdays.

Some of the items included in the adoption fee are initial vaccines that all pets need, as well as ones specific to cats and dogs, the cost of spaying and neutering, implant of a microchip and tick and flea prevention. The fees that are collected help the shelter to provide medical care and inoculations for the animals, along with shelter and food.

The reason for this special promotion is that the shelter tends to get overcrowded during the summer months, so this is an effort to encourage people in the community to visit the shelter and provide homes for these homeless pets.

Organizations like these might benefit from the assistance of a local printing company to advertise this promotion during July by means of Posters and Banners.

The shelter is also planning an Adopt-A-Palooza at the Bradenton Area Convention Center on August 6.
