Officials at the museum made these comments about Snooty’s status in the community:
“Today, he is well known all over the world and each year receives birthday wishes from countries near and far. Not only is Snooty a wildlife ambassador who introduces thousands of South Florida Museum visitors to manatees and their unique life histories each year, he also serves as a mentor to sick and injured manatees.”
The birthday celebration for Snooty will be held at 201 10th Street West in Bradenton, Florida from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm this Saturday, July 22. The celebration itself is free and will include activities such as free snacks and drinks for children, live music, games, photos with the Snooty mascot, and a photo booth where visitors will be able to Print the photos they take.
For those who would like to enter the museum while they are at the birthday celebration, tickets will be half-price from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Normal prices are $9 for adults, $8 for seniors who are aged 65 or older, and $7 for children who are age 4 through age 12.
