Daily Eats, part of the Ciccio Restaurant Group, recently opened in the Shoppes at University Town Center in Sarasota, just a short distance from Bradenton.
According to J.T. Linde, general manager of the restaurant, the eatery has a more modern approach to the classic diner. There are classic comfort food items such as burgers, macaroni and cheese, and breakfast served all day. However, the menu also includes options for those who are more health conscious, include veggies and brown rice, and breakfast items that can be made with egg whites.
Daily Eats is 3,000 square feet in size has 50 employees. The layout of the space is open with four large windows and, there is a half-wall made of concrete that separates the inside and the outside of the restaurant. Linde said that customers, who he considers guests, have the choice to dine inside the restaurant or outside.
Opening a restaurant in the growing University Park-Sarasota area was appealing to Linde as he grew up in the area. He says he is excited to be offering more fresh food options than was part of his previous experiences in the restaurant business.
