Market, walkathon and meeting among the events in and around Bradenton

Lakewood Ranch and Sarasota, both in the Bradenton area, will be host to several special events later this month.

The Lakewood Ranch Outdoor Market will open for the season this Saturday, November 14, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Episcopal Church of St. Mary Magdalene, and will be held on December 12 and then the second and fourth Saturdays of the month from January until May.

Many vendors will be returning, including Da Vinci's Gelato Food Truck, Farmer Pete’s Produce and Eggs, and Armando's Fresh Produce. Handmade soaps and candles and imported jewelry and handbags from South America will be among the new featured items.

Several young musicians from the Bradenton/Sarasota area will be performing during the market.

The Kona Grill will be hosting a Yappy Hour for those who want to learn about the walkathon planned by the Southeastern Guide Dogs. The event is pet-friendly and complimentary appetizers will be served. The event is this Saturday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

The Broadcasters Club of Florida will be featuring president of Ringling College of Art and Design, Dr. Larry R. Thompson, as its speaker at its November meeting at the SaraBay Golf Club in Sarasota this Friday, November 13. Thompson will talk about projects such as a post-production complex and a film soundstage.

These several organizations may turn to flyer printing companies to help them promote these events in the Bradenton area.
