Main Street Live! 2016-2017 is taking place this New Year’s Eve in Bradenton, presented by the Old Main Street Merchants Association.
Old Main Street will be closed to traffic between Manatee and 3rd Avenues as part of a monthly event that takes place from October to May each year. The streets will be lined with arts and crafts vendors who will be selling a variety of handmade and unique items such as jewelry, clothing, and paintings. There will also food trucks parked on the street; bars and restaurants will be open. Alcohol is allowed on the street but only if it is not in a glass container.
As with each month, there will be musical entertainment. For New Year’s Eve, the performers will be the local bands Have Gun, Will Travel and The Dram. Normally, there is only one musical performance.
The celebration usually stops at 10:00 pm but will be extended until 12:00 am so that visitors can count down to midnight.
Vendors participating in this Bradenton celebration may decide to invest in Banners to draw more attention to their booths.
