The Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative will host a presentation in August to teach Bradenton viewers an important skill.
Developing Your Professional Experience is a program led by Liz Lopez where attendees can learn about using their job experiences to become more professional. The session is part of a program created by the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library and the University of South Florida called the Libraries Build Communities initiative. Lopez is a career coach who will share her insights on how people can develop through their occupations. She will also host a live Q&A after the webinar is completed.
The Library Builds Community initiative is a grant-funded program that brings therapeutic reading services and activities to local libraries. The project was funded by the Library Services and Technology Act and had a total budget of $215,814. A few of the services offered by the initiative include forming online book clubs and creating reading lists. Programs similar to this can advertise upcoming activities through poster printing services.
The webinar will occur on Monday, August 16 from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Registration for the event is mandatory, though the broadcast will be free to view. The library will be holding another presentation on Monday, August 23 to showcase its career and educational development resources for those interested in more career-related programming.
