Bradenton goes on a run

Stewart Elementary School in Bradenton, Florida will host a 5K this January.

The event is open to the entire family. It gives each participant the chance to give back to the community as they run. The run will benefit the Stewart Elementary Parent Teacher Organization. The organization supports the students, staff and parents of the school. The course will be suitable for those looking to walk or stroll. There will also be a golf cart to pick up those who are unable to complete the race.

In addition to the comfortable track, the 5K will also be chip-timed. Runners with outstanding performances will be awarded at the end of the race.

When the race ends, attendees 12 and under may then enter the relays. This will consist of a 200m run, with four members on each team. All participants will also receive a race T-shirt. Packet pickup will take place on the day before the race.

The cost for registration will be $30 for entry to the 5K, while the relay will be $20 per entry. Registration is available online. There will be an increase in 5K prices closer to the event's date.
