Bradenton gets physical

Weatherwood Races, Prosper Bradenton, and American Yogi are coming together to present FITFest 2023 in February.

The Weatherwood Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to ecological preservation along the Gulf Coast of Florida. It enhances accessibility and funding for leisurely exercise and promotes inclusivity and community wellness. The organization has coordinated the 5K Run/Walk that will go through the Robinson Preserve Expansion. There will also be a 1 Mile Walk/Stroll.

The bootcamp will be directed by Ray Gardner, head trainer and owner of Prosper Bradenton. Those interested in attending can also take part in a yoga experience.

Up to February 9, the 5K Run/Walk registration fee is $35. The cost goes up to $40 during race week and $45 on the day of the event. Registration for the 1 Milk Walk/Stroll is $20 up to February 9, after which the cost will increase to $25. Proceeds are in aid of Operation Warrior Resolution, which eases PTSD and other mental health-related difficulties for soldiers and their families by offering innovative, holistic solutions. The bootcamp and yoga classes are free but require a waiver or wristband to attend.

Banner printing is a great way for race organizers to guide participants during events such as this.

FITFest 2023 will be on Saturday, February 18, at 7:00 pm. It will be at The Nest at Robinson Preserve, 840 99th Street Northwest in Bradenton, Florida 34209. Visit the event listing for the schedule or to register.
